Matters of the Flesh

“For the one who sows to his flesh [his sinful capacity, his worldliness, his disgraceful impulses] will reap from the flesh ruin and destruction, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.”- GALATIANS 6:8 AMP

It’s so unwise to trust our feelings and emotions when it comes to decision making. Our foundation in Jesus Christ is not rooted, centered or made to be based on how we feel. Feelings can fail us and lead us astray. Feelings are temporal, but the Spirit of the Lord is everlasting. To react on feelings which is really the matters of the flesh is to be motivated to respond based on how we feel.

We cannot always be motivated to react based on feeling, (fleshly moves, ways that are not pleasing to the Lord, our own strength, intellect and reasoning).

To be lead by our feelings and emotions is to be moved by our OWN desires. Again, feelings can fail us. We must strive to get to a place where we are living according to the will of God.

The Word of the Lord is what makes our paths straight. We can never be led astray when we operate based on the moving of the Holy Spirit. Our flesh will never want to go to the cross. That is why it is DEADLY to live by. We must ask the Lord to teach us HIS ways so that we are living according to his will for our lives forevermore; transforming to a people who operate from a place of the flesh to a people who live, breath and move based on the direction of the Holy Spirit alone!
