“I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?” Job‬ ‭31:1‬

One of the most dangerous weapons we can form against our marriage is comparing. When we say I do, that is supposed to mean til death do us part. Scripture tells us that when we marry our spouse the two shall become one. The word shall means a continuous thing. When they say that the honeymoon is over, that absolutely does not mean you stop loving each other, that simply means that it’s time put in some work. We are to protect who and what God has given us, our spouse and our covenant. It saddens us when people give in to the tricks of the devil and slowly and foolishly drift away from what is supposed to be a life committed relationship. We should never fall for traps that the enemy sets for marriages to crumble. Traps such as lust, pornography, the opposite sex at the workplace, gym, etc., social media, family or hobbies we place before our spouses, whatever it may be, should be recognized to be dealt with immediately. Do not tamper with these things or wait until the hole has been dug too deep to easily get out.

Today make the conscious decision that your marriage is yours and you will do everything to keep it, protect it, cherish it, and nurture it with all you have. God bless.

Grace and blessings,
