“Casting all your care upon him; for he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
When we come to God through salvation, we are made a new creation in Jesus Christ. With that being said, there are things we must give to God in order to become completely new. Becoming a born again believer is the best choice a person could ever make on this side of life but with that there are things we must give up to walk wholeheartedly in God’s will for our lives. For examples, we become saved and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit to walk in the fruit of the Spirit but yet still holding on to unforgiveness towards someone. We become saved but yet do not want to give up our worldly habits that we had before we came to Christ, such as ungodly movies, music, places, associates, etc. (we must remember that God makes all things new when he receives us). OR, we may have forgiven others and put away all of the sinful things we used to do but there’s that one little thing you hold on to that no one knows about but you. No, God wants everything. God desires us to give him everything we’ve got but he’s not forceful. God looks for genuine hearts and what would be more genuine than laying it all out on the table.
Today, let go and let God. It is now the time to experience the true and complete freedom God desires us to have.
Peace and blessings,
