Ask! Seek! Knock!

“Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking receives, and he who keeps on seeking finds, and to him who keeps on knocking, it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will [instead] give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will [instead] give him a snake? If you then, evil (sinful by nature) as you are, know how to give good and advantageous gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven [perfect as He is] give what is good and advantageous to those who keep on asking Him.”

MATTHEW 7:7-11 AMP

We should never be afraid to seek, speak, communicate effectively and cry out to the Lord. The more we draw nigh (close) to him, the deeper we grow in him. This scripture is a perfect example of how to be strategic and persistent in our walk with the Lord. Many times when we don’t get the response on our timing or answer that is needed immediately, we stop seeking, we stop knocking and we grow weary and tired of asking. This walk requires persistency. It requires the spirit of tenacity. It requires pushing and pressing. It requires holding onto the towel instead of throwing it in. When we seek the Lord wholeheartedly, we will find him. When we keep on asking, the response will come in his perfect timing. When we keep knocking, the doors will become opened. For it is prayer, which is our communication line with the Lord that produces power! It is in the persistency that the manifestation comes forth!

The Lukewarm Bandwagon

We are now living in a day and age where being lukewarm is becoming the norm. It’s becoming acceptable to have one foot in the world and one foot in the body of Christ. People are becoming more and more complacent and comfortable with living by their emotions (flesh) instead of living by the Spirit. Many think they can still serve the Lord while having ties to sin: Fornication, adultery, idolatry, pornography, lying, stealing, covering, partying, drugs, alcohol, cussing and fussing, being connected to witchcraft, unforgiveness, the list goes on.

What is REALLY going on here? Why is this becoming pleasing? Why is this not being addressed more in the church? Does the body of Christ not have enough power to exercise authority and correction within the body? Let God’s word Continue reading “The Lukewarm Bandwagon”

Where True Life Begins

“He that has the Son has life; and he that has not the Son of God has not life.” 1 John‬ ‭5:12‬

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Without Jesus there’s no life. By him all things consist. Without him was not anything made that was made. God is omnipresent but he still requires relationship with humanity. There will always be a void if we do not have a relationship with God. No person, no amount of money, no amount of fame Continue reading “Where True Life Begins”

The Anchor

Good morning and happy Monday! Here’s a couple of questions for us to ponder on today:

What are we holding on to support us and keep us in a position of not sinking? What are we tied to that keeps us ashore instead of sinking in the deep waters?

When one has a foundation in Jesus Christ, they can be assured without hesitation that their anchor of support will not fail them! Why? Continue reading “The Anchor”

The Importance of Spiritual Maintenance

Spiritual maintenance is very essential in the life of a believer in Jesus Christ. I’d like to call it: The tune up.  Though there are three components to what makes a person: spirit, soul and body,  the spirit man of the person would require the most fine tuning. Why is this? Well, if our spirits are on one accord with The Holy Spirit, meaning that we are aligned in his will, his Word and are abiding by his truth and statures, we will be able to hear his voice more clearly and do what he has called and assigned us to do. Continue reading “The Importance of Spiritual Maintenance”

Faith in Full Effect!

Faith! Oh that precious word! But it is not just a word. It is noun and also an action. Faith involves loyalty and devotion to something. Faith is a belief and trust: giving your diligence to something. Faith involves a strong conviction. It is a dedication and declaration that you are standing on what you know to be true. Faith can be placed in good things and in bad things. Many people can place their faith in the wrong person, without the realization that man (people) can and will fail you. But do you know that the Savior, who is Jesus Christ will never fail you? That is exciting to know isn’t it? So how do we get to a place of having our faith in full effect and even greater, in a position where our faith is in the right foundation and soil according to the Word of the Lord? Well, let us dive in shall we? Continue reading “Faith in Full Effect!”
